The audio industry has a problem with gender distribution. However, Denmark has a lot of skilled and talented female podcasters. How do we get more women in pro audio? What are the main challenges? Is the gender distribution in the audio business a “real” problem? Hear what the panel thinks about the subject.

Dorte Palle

Dorte Palle has worked with sound for more than 20 years, earning the title expert on podcasting. Dorte has been all the way from the talent programme at DR (Danmarks Radio) to hosting “P4 in P1” as well as working on a slew of TV shows. She was the exec of culture at DR before starting her own independant business. She has produced and edited documentaries, features as well as reports for both radio and tv, and is the co-host of Podcastbogen (“the podcast book”) from 2019.

Anna Svensmark Møller

Anna Svensmark Møller has a prof. Bachelor in sound design from Sonic College. Her main focus, both during her years as a student as well as in her professional working life, has been podcasting. She has produced podcasts for both kids (talk town) and adults (ally), in which she sometimes acts as editor and sound designer – in others program planner and hostess.

Caroline Gottschalck

My fascination with sound production began when I was studying to become a journalist (2018-2020). Here I started producing sound universes for kids. This led me to Story House Egmont (Talk Town KIDS) where I was involved in the production of several podcast series, working on elements such as idea and conceptualizing, manuscripts, sound universes as well as complete podcasts episodes.

With the vision of creating our own dream job, we (Signe and Caroline) started our own podcast production company on September 1st 2021. Together we produces sound for companies and organizations – primarily focusing on culture and society. Our demographics are adults, young and old, as well as children.

Signe Ladegaard Jensen

Through an internship during my journalist studies (2018-2020) I became a fastlancer of soundprodutions at Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten. Since then, I have been nerding sound and podcast productions. As of now, I am the only sound producer at Jyllands-Posten, and I have been involved in developing several podcast series.
