Torben Brandt

Torben Brandt is a Danish senior documentary and drama radio maker, media advisor, presently the editor in-chief on the weekly “Radio Tales” (Radiofortællinger) on the all talk channel DR P1. Torben Brandt has since the 1980es been producing and engineering documentaries, reportage, drama, sound art and culture news programs, along with his work as an international media advisor for UN and various NGOs, in Africa, Asia and the Arab world.

He belongs to the “Golden age of the Danish radio documentary generation”, who won loads of awards, such as Prix Italia and Prix Europe, in the 80th and 90th. In the same period he and soulmate and teacher, Stephen Schwartz, worked closely together on studies, teaching and practicing the visual aspects of radio-story-telling and an interviewing style they named ‘The Moment Interview’, which Torben Brandt has refined since Stephen Schwartz past away in 2013. He now runs frequent Moment Interview Master-Classes for a wide range of upcoming and experienced radio talents and media students in Denmark, and internationally like at Radio Days and the Hear Say Festival in Kilfinane, Ireland, with great success.

Tor Arnbjørn has throughout the last 20 years engaged himself in the business of radio production at DR (Danmarks Radio, the Danish national radio) and is the author of Podcastbogen from 2019 (“the podcast book”). Tor started at DR as an intern and has produced news shows, “P1 morgen”, “DR2 debatten” and as well as a ton of P3 programmes before he for five years was the head exec of radio at DR.
