DAWs

1st SEMESTER

10 ECTS

The purpose of the DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) module is to provide insights into the fundamental characteristics and principles of sound. It teaches methods for analyzing, shaping, and processing sound, both in the context of design as well as in creative contexts.

In this module, you will work with recording, editing, mixing, processing, synthesis, sampling and MIDI.

The techniques learned are applied to the Pro Tools and Ableton Live software programs through a systematic exploration enriched with practical exercises. Although these programs each represent complete virtual audio studios/environments in the field of sound design and music production, the goal is also to shed light on the individual features and advanced capabilities of these programs.
